Can hear some chair creaking and a little rustling from my mostly failed attempt to film. At the beginning of Act 2, some old lady in the orchestra had her phone go off AND SHE ANSWERED IT. ON SPEAKER. You can hear the phone itself, but not the person on the other end. During “Better in Blue Jeans”, someone in the balcony attempts to sing along at first, but thankfully realizes pretty quickly that the arrangement is different, so they stop. I'd say a rare sort of performance as Jake and John still had to mask due to CDC guidelines (so glad they felt up to coming back to the show!), so it added an extra layer of comedy at times. LOTS OF LAUGHTER. Chatter from master and friend on occasion, primarily prevalent when Delilah goes to Jessamyn Jacobs' house as we could both swear the picture they used for the house we had seen in real life, likely Scarsdale, NY. Notes: Understudy chaos at Between the Lines' final evening performance. Since there is only one young female, one male, one older female, and one older male understudy to cover this 10 person performance, some improv was required to raise the curtain, as explained by the speech at the beginning of the audio. Jerusha learned the part of Allie over the course of a half hour pre-curtain, and was on book for the duration of the show. Dan then had to cover Jerusha's role of Janice, resulting in a genderbent Janice/Marina that I would like to dub as Jared. These crazy amazing covers resulted in a lyrical flub by Jerusha during inner thoughts, as I presume she went on autopilot and said "Deborah am I in your thoughts". There was no Deborah mentioned. Dan then did a genderbent version of Jerusha's typical verse, now about this guy named Devin. Meanwhile, Heather took over the Marina portion of Jerusha's track, so please don't mess with the split up of the track in my listing of the cast. Arielle give a heartwarming/psych up talk thanking the understudies and our emergency covers, and praising their abilities after bows, so that is also in Act 2's audio. Notes: Act 1 is a full audio and Act 2 is just the first 2-3 minutes as a video. I got ballsy and tried to do a video, and instead accidentally made the recording stop.
